Hiya I'm Sammy I'm 21 and have a year old DD who I breastfeed but she bites and pulls on them constuntly and i end up in tears because they hurt..... I was raped 2 years ago because i had big boobs so i had them reduced but because i had 4 pregnancies they've gotten smaller and produce less milk which mean shorter feeds but she is always biting my nipples and i dont know what to do?

You poor thing. When my DCs started biting, I took them off the boob, said no, put them down and if they ever bit again, I did exactly the same. They stopped pretty quickly after that.

Btw, I don't think you'll be producing any less milk because you now have smaller boobs, and you're likely to be feeding for shorter times because you and baby are more efficient at feeding.

I took her off from March to September to recover and started again in October but as soon as she saw my nipple she bit it hard and the started sucking on it as nothing happen i sed no you dont do that but she started crying again so i put her back on where she bit it hard? i'm not sure what do to?

Sorry, I meant I took them off there and then (for a few minutes), so that the effect is immediate. Then when I fed them again (be it a few minutes later or the next feed), if they bit again, I took them off again so that they soon got the message that biting = no boob.

No offense but your probley very busty and proud....... I'm to ashamed to show my bf my breasts so when i fed my DD I have to go in to my room and feed her and thats when she bites?

Have you called one of the helplines eg la Leche League or National Breastfeeding Network? Google their numbers. You could also find out if there's a support group near you for hands-on help.

? I have no idea what you mean by that?

Either way, if my DC bit while breastfeeding, I would take the baby off the boob and put him or her on the floor (crying :(). When I then picked him or her up again to feed, I would put them back on the boob but if they bit again, I would take them off again and put them back on the floor. This can be done in your room or wherever you are feeding her.
