BF baby regurgitating feeds. Why? What can I do?

Am EBF my 6 week old DD And the last couple of days she's been regurgitating a lot. Sometimes it's entire feeds :( I have tried sitting her upright as soon as she's done feeding and interrupting her after about 5 minutes. She makes a lot of noise feeding (gobbling, growling etc) and am feeding her on demand. Should I offer breast at regular intervals eg 2 hourly, to stop her gobbling or could it be because I've got a fast letdown and milk is choking her?
She seems bright and bubbly as usual, wet nappies and pooing ok. Could it be reflux?
Thanks for your help

around 6 weeks they tend to have a growth spurt, so she might be hungrier and get frantic - make sure you burp her properly as she's probably swallowing a lot of air!

you could try to space feeds but I'm not sure that's the solution to this particular problem

I'd say probably the fast let down and choking thing - can you express a bit of milk and freeze it?

Thanks amazing. If I express does that not just increase my supply and make problem worse?

well, I know, I was thinking that, but you don't have to express lots, and you can just do it by hand, literally just to take the "edge" off - what do you think?
it's not good if it's flooding in her mouth.

I think if she's been ok so far it's probably a temporary problem and should get settled in a few days - demand/supply thing

also check she's latching on properly

Ok thank you. I'll try expressing. Fingers crossed its temporary

Congratulations Elvis
If it is to do with fast letdown (may well be), things will settle in time - your baby will soon be able to handle quicker flow... And come to appreciate it! My twins get properly grumpy if the other has had a growth-spurty guzzle!
If she's happy in herself and gaining well, I'd carry on feeding on demand and just keep an eye on things. Reflux afaik tends to peak around 4m but will get better on its own as the stomach matures. It's a right faff getting drugs into EBF babies anyway!
If you're concerned about expressing but she does see to be struggling with let down, just take her off until it settles - but have a muslin to hand for squirtage Grin
Sounds like you're doing a grand job. Enjoy Smile
