How to find a local LC? feeding problems with 16 weeks ds

Does anyone know how to find my local LC or how I can get reffered to one? I have always had wind issues with ebf 16 week ds, and suspect fast let down and oversupply being the issue. He makes very loud chomping noise when feeding, pulls off alot, and only feeds for a very short time. Never comfort feeds use to do very explosive loud poos and has always had bad wind. Thought feeding would get better at 12 weeks but seems to have got worse in the last couple of weeks. He is refusing to latch on most times, very gassy, farts smell like rotten eggs, is only doing one poo every other day. He is crying as though in pain and constantly having to carry him around, won't feed when he is crying. Although he has started to suck his thumb alot.
I have been to Gp and health visitor both seem to think the problem is that ds has a cold and not a feeding issue as he is gaining weight very well. When to local sure start centre spoke to bf lady there again didn't really listen to me and just said to massage him etc. Is it just me? Or should i see someone more qualified and helpful?

Hi Jasmin,

I've got to post and dash, sorry.

Sorry to hear you haven't been supported enough. You can look for local IBCLCs here or you might want to chat to a breastfeeding counsellor (try NCT, LLL, ABM or BFN) first.

I'll post more details later if someone doesn't beat me to it!

Here you go-

LLL

NCT

ABM

BFN

Hopefully one of them will be able to help you out. :)

Thanks for the links. Have found a couple in my area. Will give them a call tomorrow.
