Is it best to swap one feed at a time?

Ds2 is 9 months, and has been bf. He's starting at the childminder soon, for when I return to work. My plan was that by the time I return to work he would be bf first thing in the morning and at bedtime, and ff for his other feeds. Admittedly, I only tried to start him on a sippy cup of formula yesterday and today for his late morning feed, but he's not interested. The cup is only staying in his mouth for a second at a time and over an hour he is taking about 10 ml. He has been using the sippy cup for water for a couple of months now, so he does know how to use it.

Do you think it would be better if I just stick to one ff a day for say the next week, then introduce another in the afternoon next week, and transition slowly? Or would it be better to change all the daytime feeds in one go? I've also only recently stopped feeding him at night, so I want to make sure he is taking enough milk.
Thanks for any advice.

Oh, and another quick question. If your dc isn't taking much milk, do you stop offering water during the day and only offer milk? Or its it better to keep milk for milk feed times (even if they hardly touch it) and water for meal/snack times?

transition slowly for him to get used too it and for your supply to adjust would be best. I'd still also offer water with meals.

Try someone else feeding the formula to him.
DD will not take formula from me. She'll take it from anyone else though!
