Bordering on oversupply - OK to cook with fenugreek or asking for trouble?

I have a recipe that I really want to try - it has Ethiopian spices, including fenugreek. Would I be OK to eat it do you think? I don't want my boobs to explode

Sorry Mango don't know. You could always cook it and watch me eat it though Grin.

There isn't really any evidence that any of the spices which are "meant" to improve supply, do anything. The thing that affects supply most is how you feed. The only thing people take that is shown to improve supply is domperidone.

If you are bordering on oversupply, is a mild form of block feeding an option?

I'm feeding one side only per feed but I'm reluctant to go too far down the block feeding path as I'm worried about blocked ducts. It's more or less manageable tbh - dd is getting used to the letdown spurt - and I'd rather be in this boat than be struggling with under supply!

thanks for advice - I think I might risk it as a one off - after all it does look damn tasty

Oh, I think oversupply is worse - the fixes are more unpleasant.

One side per feed sounds good. If you run into a blocked duct, from trying block feeding, or just because, if you feed with your daughter's chin to the lump, that often clears these things very effectively.

The amount you take to help lactation is far more than you will cook with. I was taking 12 tablets a day.
