Please any recommendations on where to find some. I'm not happy about spending the next couple of years being slapped in the face every time I go upstairs.

I didn't think they existed. Found this -

The concern about wearing an underwire bra while nursing stems from the idea that the wire could inhibit blood flow and hamper milk production or lead to a clogged duct or even mastitis.
However, there's no real evidence that underwire bras are linked to lactation problems. Any reports of such issues are largely anecdotal, which is why lactation consultants, midwives, and even your fellow nursing moms may pass on this piece of advice.
Your best bet: Let your own experience and comfort be your guide. If your underwire bra is uncomfortable, don't wear it. There's a reason why most nursing bras don't have underwires ? they aren't as comfortable.
If you choose to wear a bra with wires while nursing and find yourself with clogs or lower-than-desired milk production, try a few days of wire-free life.
Most likely, however, you'll find that nursing bras, with their easy-open, easy-close designs and generous, comfortable fabric, simply suit you better most days. But don't worry if you want to wear a more rigid or uplifting bra once in a while.

Could try these sites, sorry don't know how to do proper links

Underwired aren't as comfortable?

Blimey! Who says. I tell you what ISN'T comfortable and that is NO underwire when a G cup.

Thanks very much for the links. I'll check them out. The last baby I fed for two years and moved onto non-feeding underwire bras but it really is a faff getting the boob out of them.

Try Anita bras (Figleaves stock them). Expensive but recommended on here. Sizing is American so a cup size out I believe.

I know what you mean. I forgot I had on a "normal" bra a couple of weeks back, and while I didn't have a problem slipping off the strap and feeding baby, it was bloody hard work trying to get it back on again while people watching and wondering what the hell I was doing lol.

I am only feeding lil one at night now so not a problem for me but I wish I had known about them. I hate nursing bras, my boobs look squashed and droopy in them (sorry tmi)

Anita make underwired feeding bras, available from Figleaves iirc. Best thing I ever bought myself, mono-boob isn't a good look in an F cup. I have 2 that I wear and wash constantly and though expensive have held up very very well. Fwiw, I've never had problems with underwires in pregnancy or nursing. I don't find underwires uncomfortable at all, maybe because my bras actually fit? It always strikes me as the most bizarre thing that at the very time my norks need the support the most, I'm expected to defect to useless granny bras.

Anita do a good one. Very comfy to wear after the first few weeks of bf when your tits stop changing size every hour. You have to buy online unfortunately- I have only ever found one place in the UK which stocks the things in RL (Pretty Pregnant on Upper St in Islington, if anyone wants to know).
Every time I go to Bravissimo I write a request in their comments box to stock underwired nursing bras. And everytime they come out with the same line that it would give me mastitis. Not in two years they haven't- but I am careful with the fit. Maybe if enough of us suggest they stock them- with health warning if required- they'll listen to us. The back pain from soft bras was enough to make me give up bf entirely...
