I consider removing the dummy ( cherry style) - i think it interferes with breastfeeding - anybody else tried to remove at this age?

my baby is 3.5 months old. he has always fed for a very short time: 3 minutes...We gave him a dummy when he was 7 weeks. now I can see some change - he loves his dummy a lot. he starts refusing the breast for feeding - or if feeds then very short time, I do not feel my boos drained. also, today he has just 3 wet nappies. Has anybody else tried to remove the dummy at this age?

You could remove the dummy but he'll likely just use you as one instead nothing wrong with that IMHO

A dummy is a substitute nipple and if baby isn't feeding enough at the breast then it is interfacing with feeding. Yes you may have a few days where you have to do nothing but feed, but if he's not been taking enough milk then your supply may have dipped and he'll need to restimulate it. He needs milk to grow and thrive, a baby moon would be a good idea. Go to bed with you're baby for a few days if you can and get some one else to look after you.
