Hello, I am having similar issues although DS will happily have a bottle as a substitute

He is generally waking sometime before midmight and then in the early hours for a feed

NotQuiteCockney · 10/03/2006 19:34

I found my DS2 went a bit boob-mad at a year. I think he realised I always had them with me!

I put my foot down and started feeding him only at home, in our bedroom or his. That way, he wasn't pawing at me all the time, and had his feeds a bit more spaced out. I don't know if this would work for you.

I haven't been following the threads about Peter very much lately, but I'm gathering you've been through some stress. Maybe she's aware of that, and is more in need of comfort as a result?

misdee - saw this thread and wondered if i had posted it myself - as i was thinking of posting it earlier!!!!!
ds2 has had a few mouthfuls of porridge, a few bites of toast, half a banana and a few spoonfuls of lasagne all day
he has been whinging and whining and grabbing my top
oh - he can also now point and point to my boob and repeatedly says booba

argh

Mine was the same till very rcently.Wanted it all the time esp if tired ot upset.Am pg again so have dropped feeds gradually and now down to 1 after bath and 1 in bed and also 1 in bed when we wake up.Co-sleep too so i feel drained. If she wakes up i am really horrible to herBlush and i just say no you are not getting any and go back to sleep.Took ages to get her off feeding 5/7 times per day and 2/3 times thru night but i needed to for my own sanity.Could dd be coming down with something misdee? Mine did grab for bf a lot if she was going to be unwell.

popsycalindisguise · 10/03/2006 19:37

and night times have got worse here

i am debating whether to start up my night training again tonight - if i can summon up the energy

misdee · 10/03/2006 19:38

she wont take EBM from a bottle or cup anymore, so i have started offering cows milk(dont feel quite so let down when its refused). if i go out and leave her with anyone she is fine the whole time i am out(have been gone for 5hours before) but she cries and starts looking for my boobs as soon as i walk in the door.

these march babies
grrrr
does dd3 still sleep at night though?
i have the constant pawing at night still

misdee · 10/03/2006 19:44

just read it, dd3 is also a limpet child. her sleeping is fine.

we have al lhad coughs and colds and tummy bugs over the last fortnight. maybe its to do with that. she had a dreadfull tummy bug last month, barely ate for 2 weeks, just breastmilk, as she kept being sick.

misdee · 10/03/2006 19:45

i say fine, but am co-sleeping most nights and she just helps herself Blush i have no idea how often she feeds at night.

misdee · 11/03/2006 18:44

i have distracted her for just over an hour now. she is now pawing at me again for milk. she has a cup of water and have just had her dinner so i know its not hunger.

misdee - could it be new teeth ?

My DS (now 20 months) always gets a bit clingy and wants more booby when he is teething Grin
