Boil kettle (boiling the water kills any bacteria in the water)

Leave half an hour (ideally the temp should be approx 70degC after this time - this is hot enough to kill potential bacteria in the powder without destroying too many of the nutrients - as it might if it were hotter)

Pour into bottle to required amount - add required scoops of powder.

Shake

Run under cold tap until drinking temp - use within 2 hours.

Or run under cold tap for a bit longer and cool straight away in the back of the fridge - use within 24 hours (enabling you to make feeds up in advance).

If you have/ can borrow a jam thermometer - you could experiment with proportion of cooled boiled water to freshly boiled water to give 70degrees - i think 5oz boiling plus 3oz cool gives approx 70degrees.

Agree with above post from Woodifer. The quickest IMO is make it up ready in the fridge and it'll take 5 mins tops to warm up to room temp ready for baby to drink.

It varies, really.

Ideal method is to boil kettle, leave for 30 minutes, pour into bottle. Add appropriate amount of powder, close bottle and cool quickly by rinsing under cold tap. So I'd guess around 35 minutes.

However you can make up in advance or use quicker method like Woodifer suggests if you need to make them more quickly.

You should never make bottles up with cold water because the powder is not sterile and can contain nasties which are only killed at 60C and above.

I didn't ff, and I have to say that reading all this makes me think it's time for someone to build a better bloody mousetrap.

You don't have to wait - the formula can be made up with boiling water. Any nutrients that could be denatured by adding water at 100'C (or prob less) would have been thoroughly removed by the process of drying milk which is much hotter than this
