Recurring lump

DD is 8months, last few months I've regularly got a lump caused, I think, by a blockage, in my right boob. After a few days of massages, hot showers and lots of feeding it goes away, but is there I can I to prevent it in the first place? So painful and the extra feeding is exacerbating a lop sided supply issue!

Is there anything you can think of that your doing that could be causing it. Holding the breast while feeding? Wearing anything tight, bra or a particular top that you are wearing. Basically anything that mite be casing more pressure at that point.

No not really, none of the above examples anyway. The right side has always been fuller than the left, not sure if that has anything to do with it?

Have you had anyone observe a hole feed at all. Maybe he's not feeding quit as effectively from that side and a small alteration in latch may help.

If you can at all, feed with his chin on the lumpy area. The chin massaging the breast can help the duct drain more efficiently.

When she was 2months a cranial osteopath said it looked like she wasn't latched great but had learnt to cope with possible very minor tongue tie. Her latch has been pretty bad in the last few weeks due to a cold but good point, will try to see a lactation specialist
