My dd still suffers with colic in the evening. A health visitor suggested that i cut out all fizzy drinks! I was sceptical - surely this cant affect dd( i dont drink much fizzy but do have one or two glasses a day!) DD is now 9 weeks old!!

Never heard of that myself.

I found that DD and DS's colic disappeared on its own at around 12 weeks. In the meantime i used dentinox drops and infacol to help.

Of course it does, the bubbles sink straight into your breasts, dummy.

You could try not eating foods that make you at all gassy, I've heard that mentioned a lot...

fizzy drinks! PFFFT!

My mum has a theory that champers can upset a baby - this is based on a single incident where my sister (bf) had a glass of champers and that night the baby was a complete nightmare. In fact she wouldn't let me drink any champagne after my ds was born just in case. (He still got colic).

When I drank Coke or Pepsi it made DD's colic worse. Chocolate and caffienated coffee and tea did the same. I think caffiene can have an effect on them as when I cut it out the symptoms of hideous colic eased. My sympathies...colic really is the pits!! Sad But it is true it does get better after the 12th week.
