EBF baby possetting through nose after a feed - please god tell me it's not sodding reflux again?

My DS1 had reflux really very badly. He used to posset after every feed right until he was fed again. He'd often be sick 50+ times a day and this continued until he was weaned. We controlled it to an extent with Omeprazole and infant gaviscon but quite honestly it nearly tipped me over the edge. it certainly contributed to why we gave up BF (as well as soreness) - I couldn't get the milk into him without it coming back up Sad

DS2 is now 3 week old and I have noticed that he possets after every feed (just a little) but its often through his nose, especially if I don't keep him upright for long enough after a feed. I remember DS1 doing this which is why I'm worried...

So tell me, is this reflux again? DS2 is otherwise thriving and is putting on massive amounts of weight (1lb in 5 days!!) I have a vast milk oversupply (which has led to mastitis Sad ) which he copes well with BUT I wonder if that's causing him to literally 'fill up' beyond a comfortable point at every feed.

I don't know if I can take reflux again.

I so know what you mean about reflux in a second baby.... :( It's a horrible and frightening prospect.

Oversupply definitely can cause reflux-like symptoms. I am crossing my fingers for you that it is that - it does sound quite likely.

WIth your first child, was milk allergy ruled out as the cause of the symptoms? Just something to bear in mind if your new little one doesn't improve as the oversupply settles down.

I do think it's an excellent sign that your new baby seems otherwise content and is gaining so much weight tho.
