Dairy intolerance- any formulas out there?

My little one is EBF 18 weeks old. I noticed him spitting up excessively and crying alot in feeds, so I have since given up dairy & noticed a great difference (much less spit up & less crying!) we are trying to get him on combination feeds as im back to work & have trouble expressing enough.
This week we tried a bottle or 2, he refused SMA & spits up alot with Aptimel, so reckon we need a non cows milk formula- any one have any recommendations/ advice please? X

If you go and see your GP, they may recommend you try a formula called Nutramigen, or Neocate, which is completely dairy free and easily digested. You could ask to try either of those, although they may also want to refer you to a specialist paed for allergy/reflux texting.

you need to see a GP who can prescribe a hypoallergenic formula

Great, will do, think i need to have it confirmed with a GP, hard to know what amount of spit up is too much!

you can get them from your gp, I'm not sure if you can buy it over the counter but you could ask the chemist. Don't use soya formula as babies who are dairy sensitive are often also sensitive to soya.

Be earned though they tar vial add older babies often won't take them.

When you say you have difficulty expressing, how are you expressing?.some women find hand expressing more evident them using a pump.

Am pumping, and it takes a while to get anything out! Will try hand instead tonight :)
