Best sling to BF in?

I'm in third trimester expecting DD2 and need some advice about best sling to breastfeed in. After DD1 being a BF monster I'm preparing for DD2 to be similar, and as I'll have very active 2 year old to contend with in addition to BF newborn this time, I think a sling to BF in will be essential so I can still play with DD1 whilst feeding DD2.

I had a babasling when DD1 was newborn but found it awkward and DD1 hated it, especially when I tried to BF her in it. I've got a babyhawk Mai Tai that I used to carry DD1 around but I can't see it working to BF a newborn in.

It seems that my choice is down to a Mobywrap and a Kari-Me. Anyone used either of these and would recommend / advise avoiding them?

Any other suggestions for a good BF sling?

Thanks in advance

I've got a Boba wrap (exactly like a Moby) and I haven't found a way to easily breast feed in it. There are a couple of YouTube videos showing how it's done hands free but I haven't managed it successfully - it just doesn't feel secure. So I am watching this thread with interest!

I BF DD2 in a ring sling until quite recently (she's 17 mo). I think a lot of it is down to personal preference. Is there a slingmeet near you where you can try a few out?

I couldn't breastfeed in my Moby until DD was almost too big to go in it still. I have big boobs though, which I don't think helped. I think next time I'd try a ringsling, not least as it's easier to get on and off! Or maybe an Ergo with the newborn insert?

I feed my DS in a meitai but didn't start doing ti until he was about 9 months old. He does this in an upright tummy to tummy position. this allows him to latch on and off.

I think lots of the breastfeeding positions in stretchy (moby/kari me/boba/close) wraps aren't really hands free. They are aids to discreet feeding/give you some additional arm support.

Also I think the baby needs to be able to latch on and off without assistance.
Sorry this isn't much help. Do try to find a sling meet/library as they can give you a practice.

Watching this with interest as I'm in exactly the same situation!

I was looking at the less stretchy wrap slings, like Ellaroo and Calin Bleu - anyone with experience of BF in those?

I fed DD2 in my KariMe andI have giant boobs. It took a few goes until I got it where I was comfortable and sure I wasn't flashing.
