How to breastfeed once baby has started nursery??

Hiya. My little one is 7.5 months and is just starting nursery. He's been exclusively breastfed until now but will have to have a couple of bottle feeds a day while at nursery.

My question is: at the weekend, should I give those feeds as bottle feeds, or go back to the boob? I am worried about confusing him/my breasts!

Thanks!

just feed as normal when you are with him, he and your boobs will adapt fine :)

You'll probably find he very much wants boob when he's with you! Mine barely lets me sit down without wanting some, and he's only away from me two days a week! :)

I went back to work when DD was a similar age, also exclusively bf and it was fine. She refused any formula offered (I was rubbish at expressing and she would not entertain a bottle) but would drink water from a sippy cup at nursery when thirsty and continued to feed as normal when I was at home. Interestingly, on days when I was at home, she would continue to feed at usual intervals, but on my work days, I very quickly adjusted and was not uncomfortable. For about a week I took a pump to work with me in case I needed to express for my comfort, but this only took a couple of days. You might find night feeds are demanded more, but at this age more of their nutritional needs are being met by solids anyway.
I found bf after I'd been at work was a lovely way to feel close to my baby again.

Oh, fabulous! It sounds like this should be no problem at all. Thanks all for your help. He went to nursery for just two hours today, which overlapped with a feed time, and he didn't want the bottle - although they had just given him lunch so he might not have been hungry. He did seem to want a bit of extra boob this afternoon though.
