Crying after feeding

I know babies cry a lot, but this is getting ridiculous! DS ( 7 weeks ) cries, so I feed him, he feeds for about 10 mins, then starts fussing, latching on and off and clawing at me. I can usually manage to get him to take a bit more, then he might fall asleep and finish feeding. Sit him up, attempt to wind, then he starts crying again...
It was all going so well too, except for colic and green poo, he'd started sleeping better at night and being more alert during the day. Now, as soon as we're past lunchtime it's just a never ending cycle of screaming and feeding! I'm feeding every 1-2 hours, surely he should be able to go a bit longer by now? Have tried giving a dummy when I know he's not hungry which kind of works but not for long. Have tried all the colic soothing techniques to no avail, currently on homeopathic remedy so must be desperate! He cries in his sling, in the car, in the pram....
Is this just a really long growth spurt? Excessive cluster feeding? I was concerned about oversupply after matching some of the symptoms I found on line, but I don't think it's that- he doesn't pull away at the start of a feed and there doesn't seem to be a sudden squirting! He's not sick very often either, just seems unsatisfied with what he's getting. He has only ever fed for a fairly short time, 10 - 20 mins but I've spoken to a BF counsellor and my HV and after discussion they've said I seem to be doing everything right.
But it doesn't feel right! People keep saying it gets better, but it's getting worse, it's really getting me down how upset he is all the time, feel like a rubbish mother :(
Sorry for the rambling post, I don't even really know what my question is, except does it sound like normal behaviour? Every time I voice concerns to HV, MW etc I'm always told not to worry, it's normal, he'll grow out of it etc so maybe I am just overreacting! But I'm sat here now with a fractious, wide awake baby who's been awake more or less all day and I'm knackered! Help!

Silent Reflux? DD2 was like this from about 6 weeks, no sick, good weight gain but horrible pained screaming Dr put her on gaviscon and gripe water, she's a different baby now, doesn't feed non stop anymore, still screams but just with tiredness now (13 weeks), if you have a power shower try putting baby in the sling and putting the shower on cold and standing next to it, it used to calm DD as she loves the noise of rain, not supprising with the weather we're having.

Hi,
I would bet money that this is silent reflux. My dc3 had it as a newborn and was like this - v disorganised feeding, pulling off the breast as if in pain (but still hungry), arching his back away from the breast. My boy also had frequent hiccups and sneezes, hated being laid flat (I spent weeks sleeping upright in bed with him on my shoulder) and was a very noisy sleeper, moaning and writhing in his sleep. Basically, the oesophagus is v weak and the valve doesn't close properly so milk and stomach acid (ouch) come back up. a look at this - scroll down for silent reflux www.reflux.org.au/risasite/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4:common-characteristics&catid=1:article-text
Six months on - after various meds and managing it well - my boy is a different baby!

Feel your pain too!

Ah that does sound like him! Does get hiccups a lot and sneezing, and noisy grunty sleep. He sleeps better since we got a wedge for his cot too. We have our routine check at the doctors on Monday so will mention it and hope I don't get fobbed off again! Thanks! I am chuckling a little at standing next to a running shower, admittedly haven't tried that one yet!

CrazyRandom, my baby (very much not a mapper, unlike his big sisters sigh) never sleeps as well as when it's chucking it down and he's in his buggy with the rain cover! He's all about the white noise!

Happygirl i think i may be the only person enjoying this weather, DD starts crying open the door, wonderful silence. :)
