my baby is 10 weeks old. he cires shortly after starting feeding and also punches my breasts with his fists - I just feel he wants the milk to flow. he gets frustrated. how can I help this situation? what does punching with fists mean in baby language?

I still think talking to someone in RL would help....why are you scared to let yourself tune into what he wants and to let him do it? Is there something about the birth or your pregnancy that's affecting your mindset?

It will be a great day when you can relax, enjoy and chill with your lovely, big healthy boy :)

that's a very dangerous comment from the HV!

DD goes about 2 hours max from the beginning of a feed to the beginning of the next one.
she used to feed for aaaaages.
the only thing that should be governing how often and for how long you feed, is the baby himself.
some babies don't feed as long, some babies feed more frequently.

babies can't mess you around!
if you offer him the breast and he doesn't want it,then leave him to it.
it might be that he prefers "snacking", in which case, watch when he looks grumpy again and offer again then.
it's not an exact science because all babies are different, but providing he is alert and active normally, he'll tell you when he wants to eat again.

thank you. that s very encouraging and I will try to work on my confidence and have a more positive mindset. now... if he feed up to 5 min every 2 or 2.5 hours - shall I each time offer different breast: L, R, L, R etc?

yes, each time offer a different side.
that makes sure that each side knows that it's equally needed and will keep producing to meet demand. :)
