Upping supply

Help! Dd has missed two feeds over the last two days as I've been out and i think she's also had or is having a growth spurt. Tonight I don't seem to have any milk and she's very frustrated, bashing my boob and coming off screaming. She won't latch to stimulate my supply. Going to resort to a bottle as need to get my toddler to bed. Any ideas how to stimulate my supply?

Good luck! Wiser ladies than me will comment, but keep feeding as much as possible as this is the best way to boost supply. If you have to give a bottle, could you express and save the milk for a feed another time?

Other handy hints I've been given are to eat lots of oats and to drink fennel tea. Good luck!

Thanks, I didn't do a bottle in the end, I managed to get her to settle but she woke in the middle of the night and was hungry. So frustrating as she's been sleeping through for a few weeks now. Any tips on how to up supply quickly?

How old is your DD?

Missing two feeds over two days is unlikely to have much of an impact unless she is tiny? It could be a nursing strike? Just keep offering boob as you progress with successful breast feeding you stop getting that full feeling and cab stop feeling your let down etc, making you think that you are not producing.

Hi, she's 12 weeks. I think it must be a growth spurt. I'm also full of cold so that might be affecting my supply? She certainly wasn't on strike at 3 am this morning!
