To feel sad that this might be the end of expressing

In a nutshell, ds is 4.5 months, and after a rocky start to bf, hospitalised, and ds refusing to latch on i found myself expressing and suplementing with formula. All was good for the first few moths supply wonderful, than a month ago it starts dropping so i had to supplement even more with formula. I now express 5 times and produce 2x6floz bottles of bm for ds. I can only manage to express 5 times as i have a dmanding dd with SN who also needs my time, so i cannot spend loads of time expressing. I am no giving him what i have and hope that i will limp to 5 months and stop. I feel sad as i wanted to dictate when i would stop not my supply. But hey ho

fwiw as a breastfeeding mum I think you're doing an absolutely amazing and wonderful job. I tried expressing in the early weeks and found it extremely hard work. Sheer bloodymindedness is the only way I've succeeded in breastfeeding thus far, I wish you every success in your venture, but whatever happens I think your children are very lucky to have such a dedicated and caring mum

You have done so so well. Don;t feel bad (I know it's easier said than done) about stopping expressing. My story is different to yours but I could not keep up expressing and decided very guiltity to stop for my sanity. It was worth it and I never looked back. Breast is best, yes, but there are so many other ways of being a good mother, especially when you have 2 children. You have to weigh it up.

You might not be mixing it enough if the formula is going sandy. It's best to add the powder when the water is warm and shake it well so it dissolves properly.

Thanks so much nice. Yes you are right Xmas, it's not, and that is why I am not expressing every 2 hours that would drive my insane and I wold have a breakdown. I take it day by day, ad try not to be too stressed. It's Aptimil, tree is a thread about the chage in recipe and it getting clogged up
