Nursing bras?

I am 32 weeks pregnant and intending to breastfeed. Thinking ahead, when is a good time to be fitted for nursing bras? Would ideally like to do so before baby gets here, but I assume the size will change? Any tips re good brands welcome, I need good supportive well-engineered devices!

I waited until 39w (risky!) Sure I read to wait at least until 36w. Got measured at M&S and bought one there, one Topshop. Topshop has v pretty ones and mine's just as comfy and supportive as my Marks one.

Last time round I got fitted about 39 weeks, and bought a cup size bigger, as recommended. However, once my milk came in the bra was still way too small - I also had really painful nipples and found the only thing that helped were these: www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-AVENT-SCF157-02-Comfort/dp/B000MMQO60 which needed even more bra space.

So I ended up buying new ones after the birth anyway, and didn't get to wear the original ones for another 6 months, by which time I'd lost a bit of weight and my boobs had settled down a bit!

So my advice would be to wait if you can make do without for a few days - or buy a super cheap one now, and other better ones after your baby arrives.

I've just added a cup size to my current size as I already have nursing bras from last time that fit.. That's not much help, sorry! What I was gonna say was I like panache and Freya ones as they are comfortable and supportive for me, I am an E-F cup at the moment. If you were a smaller cup size then other makes might be as comfortable. I have a bravado on also that has an elasticated waist band and is less structured, it's very comfortable.

The ones I use are

This one in a different colour

This one
And
This one

eBay is great once you know your size, you can buy them a lot cheaper off thereSmile

Sorry I meant I'm an F at the mo so 'I've got myself a G cup to allow for milk coming in..

Get measured around 36 weeks BUT BUY CHEAP ONES. Your breasts will go up and down like yo-yo's in the first 6 weeks and don't settle completely until 12 weeks. Plus you inevitably leak milk all over them (breast pads or not) and will be changing/washing them very regularly so they will look grey & washed out very quickly. Then get measured again at about 12 weeks and go nuts. That way, if feeding doesn't work out for you, you've not forked out £££ on pretty but useless bras and if it does you get to look forward to lots of gorgeous new underwear (I highly recommend hot milk for comfort and cuteness)

I made do with any old nonsense till 6 weeks post partum. I've then been using Bravado Seamless Silk, which expand and contract really well, so you could try those

Get yourself something stretchy like the Bravado body silk (which is really comfy) and then wait. Everything I bought ( and I waited til I was overdue!) was too small within 2 weeks. The nursing bra shop (google it) is brilliant, measure up at home and they'll deliver free in couple days. Cheaper than other shops / sites too.
