Is there anything I can take/do to help my milk dry up quickly?

I will be stopping bfing DS at the weekend. He will be 2 in a couple of weeks so I feel I've done my time as it were!

One of my problems is that he will only feed from my left side Hmm, it was a gradual thing so my right side never seemed to become engorged. However, he has had the odd night away with DH and on those occasions my left boob has blown up like a balloon - my right is a tiny 32AA so it's very obvious when this happens!

Obviously I'm going to become engorged when I wean him, I have no idea how long it will take for my milk to dry up sufficiently enough for me to look normal. It's very difficult to disguise my boob when I don't feed him for 24hrs or so, in fact the last time DH took DS away for a night I didn't even leave the house the next day as I looked so ridiculous (so much for me having some time to go shopping by myself etc!)

Is there anything I can take or do to help nature along? I can't face the thought of spending next week with one side probably a DD cup and the other a AA. DH is off all week to help distract DS away from bfing and we'd like to have some days out - I can't go out looking so lopsided though Grin

express just enough to take the tightness off each time you would have fed him. it should only take a couple of days. how often were you feeding?

Also watching as I am hoping to stop soon and my DS feeds from the right 90% of the time due to supply so I also have different sized boobs. I'm sorry I can't help.

I'm feeding my 9mo only in the morning. Rest of the time he has formula! When we've been in a rush for nursery he hasn't,had my milk for up to 2 days. I barely noticed any discomfort! I reckon cutting down feeds is the best way!

well the best thing would be to just cut down gradually.
it'll be kinder to him, and kinder to your boob!

Savoy cabbages definitely helped stop my supply. Not bunkam! :-) and just expressing if you are uncomfortable or there are any lumps & then just enough to feel comfy again.
