Dc is 15 months and I am ready to stop bf we are hoping to ttc again soon and I would like a break from bf inbetween. Just wpndering what to do avout the last feed this is the one I would like to drop first as i think this will be the most difficult. Im not sure what to try to replace this 'feed' with.

We have offered cows milk during the day on a number of occasions in different cups etc but dd doesnt seem to be interested in it she will just have a few sips go back a few minutes later and thats it. Even with encouragement and then asking for feed, also due to the cup being free flow she likes to pour it.

Just wondering if it is worth trying a follow on or goodnight formula, or to try giving the milk in a bottle for comfort before bed. Also what are the reccomendations for teeth brushing and other milks, would I need to brush after the milk, as at the moment e brush before.

With both my DC I found that if they couldn't have breastmilk, they weren't interested in anything else. so actually we replaced the last b/f with a story - read by Daddy for the first few days so they weren't tempted.

If your DC is getting plenty of fluids (water in a cup) and dairy products she is probably fine - you don't (at this age) need to stress too much about actual "milk".

If you do give her milk at night, it is preferable to brush her teeth afterwards.

Thanks we do wash, pj's, feed, story then bed at the moment, so i suppose I could just cut the feed out but it really helps her settle after battling with getting pj's on its also a mini supper. Daddy is at work 6 nights a week so cant just hand her over, though he does want to do bedtime when hes here so trying to change something before his next night off so I can just leave them to it.

I give hot chocolate (as weak as I can get away with) in a sippy with a valve that means she has to work a bit to get it out. Brush teeth after.
