Advice on nursing bras for a very small bust?

Am 30 weeks pg with dc2 and starting to think about nursing bras. DC1 was a winter baby and so I wasn't that fussed about my bras - had a few layers on top in the first 6 months and after that just switched back to normal bras and undid them at feed time.

DC2 will be a summer baby and I would love to have some nicer bras, both to give a nice shape and to give me a confidence boost. The 6 months after birth were the time my body looked best last time - I had a bust for once in my life and my stomach was back to normal-ish quite quickly.

My non-breastfeeding (or post 2 years birth but still breastfeeding) shape is basically flat. To get bras that fit I generally buy a 32-34 A - AA, and then use a bra extender, because I think my back size is more like a 36, but 36AA bras are v few and 36A bras are way too big on the cup size - noone seems to think it is possible to have a flat chest with a chest measurement over 34 Confused.

At present I am wearing a (John Lewis) 36AA bra with a bra extender (to prove my point the cup size even on a AA is way bigger than would fit me pre-pg.

Anyone similar found anything good?

I didn't want you to go unanswered..... I'm a bit bigger but only a 34b whilst bfing. This time I've gone for m&s nursing bras that are slightly padded like t shirt bras. I'm sure they had A cups as well, two for 30 quid. I found normal nursing bras gave me pointy boobs and sat above my t shirt neckline! Not a good look. These fit nicely and give a good shape. HTH, good look with the rest of your pregnancy and summer baby x

I sympathise!! All the feeding bras are massive. Apparently no-one can believe we are feeding with a tiny bust.

I have always bought ranges that are quite elastic and free-form and come in 'small, medium, large'. Bravado has one. Night bras are also good because the cups aren't so defined. And then find thick breast pads :)

I am a 32A when not BF and a 32A or B when feeding and have always found the Elle Macpherson ones really comfy. I mainly used this one for day to day (in a 32C I think) and this lacy one when I'm going out. Although the smallest size is 32C I found they fitted me really nicely and weren't gaping at all.

I can really recommend a bravado bodysilk nursing bra as it is not preshaped in a mould that would be too big in the cup. They come in SML sizing, you'd probably need a small or medium

Smile even. Doh!

I love my Hotmilk bra. It almost makes me feel like a woman again when I can be bothered to wear it.

Are you me?! I know the problem - if it fits in the cup, it doesn't do up; if it does up, there's room to keep your socks in there. I'm kinda limping along with mothercare cheapies, but otherwise I just wear my very lovely non-nursing, non-wired French bras that fit very nicely thank you! I just have to be a bit careful with my choice of clothing when I wear them so that i can slip the straps off my shoulders enough to drop the bra cup for feeding.

You could also try getting fitted at Debenhams if your bust increases at all - I've somehow ended up in a 34DD Hmm despite being a 36B elsewhere (am normally an A or AA), so their sizes must be small. Limited choice when it comes to style however.

Rubbish, isn't it?!

I'm normally a 34a and I have worn these m&s crop tops througout my whole pregnancy and through 6 months of bf my twins, they are great as just very stretchy so can just pull down one side (or in my case, both sides), feed, then pull back up again.

Thanks so much, good to know I am not alone! I think I will buy one of each suggested (had my eye on the bravado and hotmilk ones) and see how I go. I want to make the most of my short time of actually having a bust!
