I am clearly going to need a LOT - super leaky boobs Blush

Any recommendations on the best place to bulk buy?

Or recommendations for best reusable pads?

TIA

Lansinoh pads are cheapest from Amazon. I find they stay driest longest too.

I too am a lansinoh fan! I tried many on the Market and they were the best ones. I buy mine from boots when they do their baby 3 for 2 offers!! Only online mind you but it's free delivery to your nearest store when you spend over £20. I've never had a problem with them and I suffered really badly with oversupply for the first 3 months!! Even now I'm always leaking!! Definitely worth the money!!

I am very leaky, so bought boots reusable pads with my DD (I have about 20 in total - could have done with more in the early days, because I double/triple stack 'em up over night, but 20 is fine for later on) and am using them again with DS.

With the reusable ones you need to wash them a dozen or so times before they start to become really absorbent, and the more you wash them the better they are. - Don't use fabric softener either, as this affects absorbancy, but it's fine to chuck them in with your regular washing.

If they're all in the wash I tend to use Boots own, but with DD I really liked the Johnsons' ones, they are pricey but very soft.

Oh, and I really would advise the washable ones if you are leaky because before I got them I was spending £10+ a week on breastpads!

Can recommend little lamb or motherease reuseables from somewhere like www.lizziesrealnappies.co.uk

How about the collecting p?ods/discs/sheilds?. Medela do some silicone ones I think so milk not always wasted

DeathMetalMum · 03/05/2012 20:58

I used boots reusables but only after my supply had settled down a bit and then still used disposibles at night for a while as i found them more absorbant. Reusables are definatley worth it though.

Get in touch with the person who was asking for alternative uses for breast pads a couple of days ago?

toddlerama · 03/05/2012 22:54

Have you tried lily pads? Such a relief when I found them! They stop you leaking.
