I only bf DD age 11m first and last thing but I'm wondering if I can get her to have breakfast instead of bf soon. She still wakes at 6 mostly crying to be fed but she doesn't feed as avidly as she used to. Any tips?

About 2y for all three of mine though they all still like a snuggle in the morning (ages 6y, 4y & 2.6y [only 4y & 2y are bfing]).

As your DD is under a year she still need breast milk in her diet (or a substitute) and even between 12-23m toddlers need around 420mls/314kcals of BM in their diet. Details on pg 18 here.

My ds is 6 months and most days doesn't want to bf when he wakes up, normally waits around 1,5 to 2 hours before "breakfast"

Downside is he still wakes up every 2 hours more or less at night, so that means he is full to the brim in the morning, hence not hungry.

My DS (18 weeks) hasn't wanted to feed on waking for about a month. I think he just gets all excited about being awake and isn't interested for the first hour or so. He's feeding about twice a night at the moment.

aound 2-3 years for all 3 of mine

My DD weaned from the breast at eighteen months old (about six months ago). It was replaced with a beaker of cows milk.

She is two in a fortnight and still wants the cows milk beaker first thing (plus the obligatory lovely sleepy cuddles!)

DS2 has just stopped crying for milk first thing and he is 26 months

The first BF of the day is definitely my DS's favourite - he's 21 months. He can go without the bedtime feed or the nap time feed but the early morning one is less negotiable! I guess he would cheer up eventually but we haven't tried yet.

I need my cup of tea before I can function first thing (ideally drunk while BFing DS) so I think of it in the same way for him.

Ah so I still have a while to go :)
