took a bottle to bed as was going to try DS on it overnight -as trying to introduce one bottle a day-but didn't end up feeding him it!can I use it today or should it be thrown out?

Also DS is not liking the bottle-has anyone else tried introducing it later on at night or even in the early hours of the morning?

I think 6 hours at room temp is the guidance so probably have to throw it, sorry Sad I'm afraid I can't help with your second question but good luck!

I'd throw it. How old is your DS? Is there a reason why you want him to have a bottle during the night? When I introduced a bottle I did it during a middle of the day feed when he wasn't too tired. When he's tired I find he fights a bottle and want breast instead. I only tried the bottle so I knew if I could go out or not, it hasn't become a daily thing.

Taste it.

I found my bf baby took better to a fast flow teet, the ones with a lot of holes, if that makes sence.

I am going back to work in july so would like him to be happy taking the bottle as well as breast!
I've tried him on a medela calma bottle, avert and even a NUK but to no avail

How old is he Kilgo?

DD refused a bottle for a while (having taken one when younger but then not for a month or so untilw e tried again) I spent a fortune on bottles and teats to no avail. In the end I kept trying her a couple of times a day, just with half an oz of milk and at times when she wasn't hungry. She played with the teat and it was almost like she'd 'forgotten' how to feed from a bottle. Then I tried a MAM teat one day whilst sat and relaxed and she just took it. Not sure if it was the teat or the fact that we'd been trying so often, but she's taken a bottle ever since.

I never let her cry or get distressed whilst trying the bottles, just let her play with them.

He is 7 weeks today.

July is a long time (esp for a 7 week old). Just enjoy him now - no need to stress him and you by trying to get him to take a bottle now.

Lots of babies will take one from CM when mum is not around but are never happy to take one if mum is around and could bf them.

DS has never taken a bottle from me (or anyone else). He started nursery last week & takes one from his key worker no problem at all! I've spent the las few months panicking, but it just hasn't been a problem. In other words, keep trying if it's important to you, but definitely don't worry too much.
