What foods increase wind in a baby?

I have been told about onions, garlic, cabbage, etc. causing wind in babies. I was wondering if there are other foods and if any of you have noticed a definite effect?

This may be TFI much info, but.....
I have been eating apricots and drinking prune juice due to toilet problems after the birth and the beginning of breast-feeding. Sure, some of you know how it is. I have a 4 week-old who suffers from trapped wind. She has been very bad tonight. I was wondering while trying to ease my toilet problems I have been causing her to stomach problems to worsen? What do you think?

Also I had a lovely mexican meal last night totally without thinking. Would that also cause problems for her?

I never found that any foods I ate upset DS when bfing, and I didn't change my diet at all. Could it be a coincidence?

I have bf 3 dc's and never changed my diet. I don't really think anything makes a difference to your milk.

supposedly it should make no difference but i found that eating lentil soup gave both my dds horrendous wind

A lot if babies have a fussy time in the evenings from about 4 weeks so it's more likely to be general fussiness IMO. Personally I don't believe in certain foods causing fussiness through breast milk/

There's no evidence that any foods can cause wind in babies unless they have a genuine allergy (which is quite rare). Onions, cabbage, garlic etc all fine.

Caffeine and alcohol can cause problems in large amounts but in moderation are fine. Here is some info that might help you.
