Has anyone been prescribed this formula ? I'd love to ask you about how it effected your progress with weaning . We are really struggling .

what age is your lo? Do they still need the high energy stuff or could they swap to a different one?

She is seven months and needs the high protine food as she has cystic fibrosis and cant absorb nutrients but I'm worried she wont learn to eat ?

You might be better off posting in special needs? Not meant in an unkind way, but it's likely parents who are no longer breast or bottle feeding may no longer follow this section and so might be unlikely to see your post. I would imagine the cross section of CF child plus high protein formula plus weaning right now is pretty small, but you might find other parents who've experienced this there.

Apologies I can't help with your specific situation, but DS (NT) didn't eat much at all in the early days, the majority of his diet was (breast) milk until he was 22 months old. However since then he has eaten normally and it hasn't been an issue at all. I think some children just take longer than others :)

Can you do baby led weaning perhaps, to make eating more appealing?

It's here in case you're having trouble finding it: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/special_needs

If you want posts from there to appear in your active conversations list you'll have to enable them manually, go into "Customise" and there is an option to do this. It was hidden originally because some posters were causing upset by putting insensitive replies onto topics which they hadn't realised related to SN children.

I hope you find some supportive answers :)
