I've had to get measured again - and as soon as I've bought bras I seem to grow again! I've been through 6 new bras in the last 18 weeks! I'm now into the bras that I was wearing post-birth, so hopefully won't get much bigger.

If you do get measured, try and go somewhere good and find the most experienced measurer. I had all the M&S bra fitters trying to help - I don't think they'd ever come across bf and pg before!

Congratulations on your pg, hope it all goes well

Thanks laura
So did you just wear feeding bras? Thats what i plan to do i think. When are you due and sorry if i'm being too nosey but are you planning to tandem feed?

Yes, I am still wearing nursing bras. They are made to support breasts which have lots of milk in them, so I am sure they are fine for pg breasts too. I only feed ds once a day, but it's still too much of a palaver to be unhooking my bra to feed him (if I was wearing a maternity bra).

I am due 28/6, so am 18+ weeks pg now, and I am expecting some element of tandem feeding. My milk supply has gone up and down during the pg (depending on my level of tiredness and what I've eaten/drunk during the day), but it's still there to some degree at the moment. I'm sure that even if it was to stop, that ds will still want to have a go again when he sees the baby feeding! He is now 22m.

I did start a thread on this a while ago which might be of interest to you?

How are things going so far? I've found it painful at times, but that comes and gos - I'll have a bad week and then a good week. How many times a day are you feeding now? I know my nipples have changed a bit to a pg state, so they're drier and more prone to being a bit flaky and sore than usual. I should get some lansinoh really.

I am due 27 July so im around a month behind you.My dd is nearly 18 months and still feeds 2/4 times per day rhen before bed and at least once during the night. I feel sooo tired but i don't want to force her off too early and maybe resent new baby.I fed ds2 till he was 2.5 years and i think i will deffo end up tandem feeding. My nipples were really sore to begin with but not for long. They are really tender again but with all the teeth and the fact that shes so eager to get on im not sure if it's down to her lol. Will look at the thread and thanks for that.

Do you think that your dd will cut down at all in the next few months? At 18 months, we moved from three times per day (first thing in morning, lunch and bedtime), to just bedtime. He actually goes down for his nap more easily now, strangely enough! He often asks in the morning, but I just say that big boys don't need milk in the morning, and give him his b/fast straight away (I used to have an hours grace to wake up slowly!).

Are you finding that your supply varies depending on how tired you are? Maybe I notice it more as I'm only feeding once per day. Sometimes if he's really tired, he'll fall asleep before he's fed from both sides, so one side can go 48hrs between feeds.

However, (think this was on the last thread?) when he got a chest infection at xmas, and stopped eating altogether for over a week, I was able to go back to demand feeding with no problems at all. Makes you realise how important and special the bf relationship is
