Best sling for BF?

I am determined to be a mobile breastfeeder, even if only on my own home. DC not even two weeks yet and already the sofa is looking very very boring.

I have a Moby wrap am going to try later today and a Bjorn. Any other suggestions for the perfect BF sling IYE? Want to get this right...

this might not be what you want to hear but I would wait before using a sling to breastfeed. The advice I have had is that the baby should be able to unlatch before you feed it in a sling while moving. I think that a moby is probably better for breastfeeding then the baby bjorn
I use a Mei Tei for breastfeeding now. DS is in un upright tummy to tummy postion and i just loosen it so he can drop down to my nipple
Check out the babywearer it has loads of useful info on slings and what you can do in them.

Dear heavens hun, you don't need to be a mobile bf-er! He will over a few more weeks develop more of a break between feeds. 2 wks is still extremely early. You are probably doing every few mins with sleeps in-between. I found by 6-8wks I was up to the 2hrs between and could extend that with the odd expressed bottle or jump into a family feeding room.

Gotta give bluewater shopping centre and Westfield Stratfield due here for excellent factillites. Also most shops allow you to use changing rooms with no questions. Don't panic yet. This extreme feeding alters over the next few weeks I promise. By 12wks its totally different.

Although I bought the baby bjorn with back support for walking around and found it helpful when hoovering.

For now enjoy channel 151 on sky, E! News and american showbiz trash and give yourself a break. :0)

I found my ring sling amazing for this- much less of a faff to get on and off and easy to adjust with one hand, and it's slightly off to the side anyway so baby's head is more in line with your boob. With practice I could manage to get it on and dd into it without unlatching her. I found my Moby much more effort to get on and off, and it was harder to adjust dd when she was in it/tighten it etc. I used the ring sling with dd in a tummy to tummy upright position, then just pull your top down a bit, use the 'tail' of the sling to go over the top of your boob, latch baby on and go. I've walked all round Liverpool with my dd like this- she fed constantly for the first couple of months and if I hadn't gone out I would have been stir crazy!

My baba sling is perfect for feeding in. Sometimes I take it with me even if DS is in his pram because it's nice and discreet to bf in.

I cot a tomy style 4 waay carrier that you can bf in but it's ridiculous, kind of suspending the baby mid air sideways! babasling all the way!

I use stretchy wraps fr newborn phase and wouldn't want to be too, too mobile feeding a new born as you can suffocate them if you've got your eye on something else. But find that when they are bigger the ergo is ideal as I feed to sleep for a nap and there is no need to retie - just lower and raise and tighten and raise he sleep hood.

Although I find non woven wraps more comfortable, I have to retie and that wakes them

My vote is for moby wrap (or similar) until baby is about 6 months old. You can feed very discreetly and safely without having to make any major adjustments - I have fond memories of bf on the quiet while doing the supermarket shop!

Ring slings are my favourite for older babies, because it's so easy to pop them in and out, but I found DS only ever fed comfortably from the left breast in the ring sling.

I have a Kari me which I can bf in but not really mobile, I can bf without taking her out of it but need hands and to be able to see what she's doing so as not to suffocate her with mahoosive breast. Feeding changes so much from those early days dd is now 9 weeks and feeds every 3 hours during the day and feeds take approx 10 to 15 mins. I'd hang on, your moby will probably be just fine.
