dd1 was bf till 17 months but only fed first thing and bedtime after 1. dd2 is feeding 6am, 9.30am, 12.30, 2.30pm, 4.30pm, 7pm which seems a lot and she cant be distracted even when playing she stops for a feed. will she just never feed less and i will have to just stop when i want ow do they all feed less eventually?
thanks

All children self-wean eventually but some take longer than others. What you're describing is perfectly normal for a 14 mo :) How do you feel about the number of feeds she's having?

My 14 mo only bf once per day (first thing in the morning) and to be honest I quite regularly worry the other way, that she is not bf enough...

What you have described seems quite normal to me, there is a huge variation of what is 'normal' at this age it seems to me.

In answer to your question, yes she will gradually feed less of her own accord. It may be some time before she is ready to drop down to morning and night feeds, or it could happen quite quickly as with my own DD.

There is some really useful information regarding weaning here

It's very much a personal decision, but my own plan is to carry on and see what happens for the time being.

Ds fed that much at that age (and all night too!). There seems a big variation after one year, some feed like a newborn and some only once a day and everything in between.

i dont mind feeding her wherever we are and its nice to have a cuddle but it makes it hard spending time with dd1 and im hoping it lessens a bit sooner rather than later, im in no rush to stop bf but i do find it quite draining, im always hungry and still losing weight.
i know she will be all grown up soon and i will miss this phase so i'll just make the most of it.
she isnt walking yet and i wondered if that had something to do with it and maybe when she walks and gets more independent she may feed less?
