We've had a nightmare with feeding, but recently it has started to feel much easier - I'm even starting to enjoy it! My DD has finally managed to feed without nipple shields for the first time at 25 weeks. I was starting to think we would never get rid of them, and I'm so happy and proud of DD. Just wanted to share my happiness (and reassure any other long term nipple shield users that there is still hope!).

Ah well done hefner, you should be proud of yourself too. Smile

Wow, hefner, that's great.

The previous record I knew about for ditching the ol' nipple shields was 9 weeks - 25 weeks just shows that older babies can change and can learn :)

Well done to baby hefner!

That's great news hefner well done to you and baby hefner. I think you need some Thanks

Well done hefner. I guess i am also a long term shield user at nearly 9 weeks in. I feel a bit Blush about it for some reason even though they have been a life saver and allowed me to BF. You have given me hope it may all change yet... Am determined to try harder!

Well done, wishing you many comfortable feeds!

Well done! I remember how chuffed I felt and it was only 5 weeks! Xx

Thanks everyone, it's lovely to have people who understand how important it feels, I don't think anyone in real life would get it, apart from DH. Good luck pastabee, keep going. I hope baby pastabee gets it soon, but until then using shields is much better than not BF at all so don't be Blush!
