Reverse cycling at 13 months or something else?

I am BF on demand and co sleeping so DS tends to feed on and off in the night (he's never slept through) and for the last couple of months he has been feeding a lot between 5 and 7ish.

Lately he's not been eating well (We are BLW) at home but in nursery (he's been there since he was 9 months) they have been telling me he eats ok, at least they tick 'all' on his form.

Today his key worker mentioned that he hadn't eaten at all and I was asked if he still feeds at night and then told that perhaps he is just too full from feeding at night and that maybe I should talk to the health visitor. I am not sure what advice I would get from the health visitor but I do want to encourage his eating more as i am worried about it.

could this really be the reason? his being too full from night feeds? If so what can I do :(

He does seem a bit under the weather today so maybe that's all it is but is it likely that he's snacking loads at night so he doesn't have to eat in the day. He also doesn't sleep well at the nursery.

I just posted something similar! Not sure if im worrying for nothing? maybe see how Ds is over the next few days?

Oh I had this. I tried to limit his milk feeds and he just got really miserable and ate less solids (thanks hv!)

I carried on feeding at night and offering lots of nice food and not outwardly stressing. And snap at 15 months things just changed and he got food. And he breastfeeds just as much(if not more...). He sometimes still doesn't want that much but people keep commenting on how he has put on weight, grown taller.

Breastmilk is digested really quickly so how is a big feed at 6am going to keep him so full he doesn't want his lunch? Also could be teeth putting him off chewing and/or a bug.

thanks both. I've been stressing about his eating so this has just made me feel worse. I am fairly confident about continuing to breastfeed 'on demand' but not sure what the nursery think about it.

looks like this may come under 'something else' as ds had a temperature of 39 last night and has been to the gp this morning :(
