Some questions - six/seven month bf baby

Hi
Just have some questions... I posted the other day about my DD feeding and that she appeared to drop a feed in the morning. Now I am getting a bit worried.

DD is BLW and BF on demand (when she demands it), but inst eating a lot as far as I can tell. We give her some water with dinner which she is happy to drink.

Yesterday and today DD has refused the offer of a feed even though I can tell she is hungry. She only fed yesterday and this afternoon after we gave her 1.5ml of nurofen and I took her up to bed to lay down and feed

So today she has fed 7.30/8am, 12:30 and 6pm - all long feeds.
Yesterday she fed about 8 ish, 3pm and 6pm.

She feeds a lot over night, and we were co sleeping but now she is in her room. We co sleep between about midnight and 4 am.

So...

Is this too long a gap between feeds in the day? She seems alert, chatty and not sleepy.

Is the fact she will only feed lying down and over tired the start of a nursing strike - or could it be teething (hence the nurofen?).

How can I ensure my supply doesnt drop? Or will it pick up again? Before she would feed at least once more in the morning and in the evening. Or could it be she is far more efficient at feeding now?

Hope this makes sense.... and sorry for rambling.

Best wishes

sorry - I have just had a thought that she could be constipated, as seems to be going a lot less during the day now? If she is, what can I do to help this?
Thanks

No advice but just wanted to say I'm going through similar with my 7month old so watching your thread closely!

My 7 month is much the same and from what I can gather it's normal. However I am doing traditional weaning so know that my DS is eating 3 meals. He feeds now at half 7, half 12 and about 5 then picks up the feeding overnight as we co sleep. He has been doing this for about 3 weeks and continues to put on good weight so I know Its ok. My hv told me that dropping feeds between 7 and 12 months is to be expected. Your supply will be fine as it will adjust to what baby needs. The body is a wonderful thing! It's weird coz mine must know that ds feeds more at night now as I can feel my boobs filling up during the evening yet they remain very soft during the day.
As I said though, traditional weaning allows me to be sure that the reason he is dropping feeds is that he is eating well. Have you considered spoon feeding a meal to make sure? Each to thier own but not sure I am sold on this blw thing! Prefer to know he is taking what I give him! You could also try spoon feeding some pureed prunes, thAt will help with the constipation.

Ps. The feeding lying down is probably just that there is less distraction! My DS is terrible now! I have to feed him somewhere quiet where there is nothing to distract him. Even if hungry he refuses and starts looking around! They get to a certain age where they discover there is more to life than boobs! Lol! Grin

My 7 month old is doing exactly the same. My supply seems to be fine - he feeds more during the night, but doesn't wake me, so that's fine (we co-sleep).

I thought he would only feed lying down coz he's a humongous baby, and that is how he is comfy. He is also very distractable. I can't feed him when we are out any more, as I just end up sitting there with one boob out while he does some sightseeing! Grin

The day before his first tooth popped he would not eat any solids or B/F much but he made up for it after.

I have nothing to base my opinion on other than DS, but for what it's worth, I think your DD sounds fine Smile
