Night feeding and SLEEP!

Hi Everyone
Just looking for a bit of info really about last feed before bed, dream feeds and night feeds.
I give my DD who is 7 months a last feed before she goes to bed at about 7pm of about 6 oz. She sometimes drains the bottle, sometimes doesn't. I have tried to dream feed at about 10.30 -11 when i go to bed but she will only take a couple of oz. She then wakes about 1.30 and about 5 - 5.30 for feeding, often draining 6 oz for each feed.
Should i be giving her more for last feed, persevering on the dream feed or even using the hipp good night formula as last feed??
I would love a bit more sleep as i take ages to fall asleep after each feed. She drops straight back off though! Envy
Any info or advice appreciated x

How is she eating during the day? Is she waking because she's hungry or thirsty? It may be that she needs to get more calories in during the day.

One thing that helped mine to sleep was to give cereal and warm milk just before bed- reduced the waking a lot.

Really, that's not bad night wakings for such a young baby, sorry. I certainly wouldn't use an amended formula - sticking with regular infant formula is the safest (avoiding follow on as the high iron levels, while good for marketing, can be harmful).

As you're likely to be introducing solids it's certainly fine to try to offer more solids in the evening, and more milk both during the day and in the evening. A dream feed is perfectly fine but the only proviso is that with formula her teeth need cleaning afterwards which may wake her again... obviously this can be a real difficulty. If you are breastfeeding at all then it's worth considering doing the dreamfeed as a breastfeed as then you don't need to clean her teeth again.

If she'll take more at 7pm then I would absolutely give her more - no reason not to if she's still hungry :)

My 7.5 month old has been waking every hour for the past month - we are now up to some 2 hour sleep stints, but he sometimes stays awake for up to 2 hours - so it sounds like you are getting loads of sleep to me!!

If your LO is only waking twice then I would stick with what you are doing.
