15 week old EBF baby waking frequently in the night again

My DD is almost 15 weeks old and EBF. From about 8 weeks or so she'd got into a night-time routine of settling between 11 and 1 ish, and then waking at 4ish and 7ish which was great. however, in the last 3 weeks she is instead feeding at least every 2 or 2.5 hours at night.

I think she's comfortable, and wears a grobag so no covers issues etc.

During the day she feeds every 2 or 3 hours and family have been saying that they think this is too often for a baby that is getting on for 4 months old, and that this is encouraging nighttime snacking. I think she could go longer during the day but I've just been feeding her when she became unhappy rather than seeing if I can distract her.

Am I doing something wrong? Such frequent nighttime feeds are breaking me :( also, I hadnt originally intended weaning until at least 5 months but would starting to wean at 17 weeks potentially help the nighttime situation?

I don't think weaning would help - I had similar ebf frequent walking from DD at this age weaned at 5 months instead of 6 & didn't help with the night waking. What did help was being a bit 'stricter' having a routine, n'

Oops - not feeding off to sleep etc
So I think from your OP what's mostikely to help is not feeding on the day if you don't think really hungry so they don't use it as comforter every time.
Still very little though & bf babies more prone to this, but it is really good for them so keep it up & try to ignore ppl constantly telling you it's hunger & why don't you wean early, give formula/ formula w cereal at bedtime etc

If they ll take a bottle you could express & keep for a night feed as sometimes a whole bottle at once can knock them out for a bit longer & might break the nursing for comfort / habit association a bit

Could just be growth spurt as well.

Sorry all typos!
