Have a very fussy ds who is 6 months old. he takes solids three times a day(which is no problem!)he took a dream feed of ebm untill at 4 1/2 momths he woke up and refused a bottle. He has since refused a bottle on ALL occasions. he does take ebm from a cup but only an onz or two. I am back at work and desperatly need him to take more milk. Finally he accepted a bottle of ebm twice today and I am reluctant to put him back on the breast. Is it possible to purely pump without drying up my milk suplly, Please help???

I relied only on pumping for the first couple of months, as it was too painful to bf and there were problems with technique. I had no problems with supply - quite the opposite, I had enough to feed every baby within a 10 mile radius!

i think if you have been purely bf and then switch to pumping it can affect supply. it did to me!

because pumping isn't as effective as your baby feeding you may find that the amount you are producing drops...so i would definitely advise pumping MORE than he feeds to keep supply up, at least to start with
