FF question re: comfort milk

Hi
My DD has always been a fairly sicky baby - she seems though to reflux up quite a bit, and I have found my HV's to be fairly unhelpful saying it is normal etc etc.

One of them suggested comfort milk - can comfort milk help with posseting / sicking up milk? I thought these milks were more for constipation - my DD tends to suffer more from wind and sicking up - she does poo every day, (only once) and does seem to strain sometimes, but as she is going regularly, I don't think she is constipated. She usually sicks up prob 5ml immediately after a feed, and then about an hour later, she will start crying etc being fussy and sick up quite a bit of watery stuff that looks like it has been partly digested then brought back up again. After that she is fine.

I currently use Aptamil, my DD is 4 months so still using the first infant milk for her.

Any advice?

If it's only 5ml of sick plus some watery sick later is might be possible to manage through positioning rather than swapping milks/medicating.

Keeping baby upright in a bouncer, activity centre (depending on age/development), bumbo, sling, wedge under mattress or books under the cot legs at the head end, gentle handling (no dandling on knees or playing horsey), and only changing nappies post feed if absolutely necessary.

Also things like feeding smaller amounts but more frequently (just as an example not as a instruction - instead of 5 feeds of 6oz, try offering, 5 feeds of 4oz and 2 of 5oz) can help as the stomach isn't so full.

Yes the milk is thicker so it helps with sucky babies as thicker and weighs down in the stomach more if u get me. Try them it can't to any harm. My baby has silent reflux and very fussy I changed to aptamil comfort and instantly made a difference xxxx
