Although bf ds only did it to 6months but have decided to bf dd until 12mths. All is going well still and feel this is new territory so just wondered how often or how many feeds you give your older babys? ATM am feeding dd 4 times a day, early am, mid am, mid pm and bedtime. HV says this enough but just curious whether will it remain the same until 12 mths or she will drop a feed or should i be making her drop a feed?

You don't need to make her drop a feed, she should still be getting most of her calories from milk at this stage. My DD2 is 8 months and I have no idea how many times a day she feeds. I would guess at least 8-10 but more some days. I feed her before meal time so she doesn't tank up on solids. DD1 is 3 yo and BF a lot more! A lot depends on the baby.

I'm down to three a day with my 8 month old, roughly at 9am, 2pm and 7pm. She feeds a couple of hours after each meal. Seems to be working for us at the moment, but again I'm sure every baby is different.

By 9 months ds was down to 4 a day (first thing, mid am, mid pm, bedtime) and stayed like that until I stopped breastfeeding at 13 months, when we went to 3 cups of cow's milk a day (I swapped all the bfs for cups gradually except the first feed - just started taking him straight down for breakfast). He's just at 15 months gone down to 2 cups of milk most days.

I've just dropped the mid-morning feed for my 9mo but still do 2 night feeds as well so it's 5 in total.

Older DD was down to 2 feeds by 9 or 10 months because that's what I wanted to do and she had cows milk on her breakfast and yogurt every day to make up her calcium. So really it's up to you and what you want to do.
