Formula milk on long haul flight

Hi
My DH and I are going to Canada in December with our DD who will be coming up to 5 months by then and was wondering if anyone can offer any advice about what we are allowed to take on the flight in terms of formula. Are you allowed to take pre-made bottles, powder, and cartons? It takes about 7 - 8 hours and I want to make allowances for delays etc.
What does everyone else do?
Thanks

Great, have a fab time and hope flight goes well for you all (should be fine, dd3 was 4 months when we took her away in the summer).

Despite having a letter from the head of security at Leeds Brdford airport saying I could take (baby) bottles of water through, when we actually did, they would not let me.

Boots at LBA did not (at the time certainly) sell formula cartons.

I had sachets of Hipp powder (like cup a soup sachets, from Hipp website), and made it up with Evian that we bought airside. We got boiled water from the restaurant airside, but it was still too hot when we needed it,

Do not use mineral water except in a ex-stream emergency there is far to much salt for small babies. The odd time may be ok but on a long-hall flight you don't want a ill.

Evian is OK - have been told this by many, many Health professionals. After all, it is whate comes out of taps in Evian.

Most French bottled waters which are not suitable for babies, have a symbol on, a baby with a bar through.

You can't just make up feeds with un boiled bottles of Evian though...
