What to wear at night rather than bra for breast feeding

Can anyone recommend what I could wear at night rather than a bra? I'm 38F and find wearing a bra to sleep in really uncomfortable, but wearing nothing meant I leaked all over my bedclothes last night. The couple of soft tops for sleeping in that I've looked at didn't go large enough for my size.

Many thanks!

I had some support vest things, I think from H&M, that were really good. They had drop down bits for easy access, and were far comfier than a bra and stopped most of the leaking.

I wear these - they're not supportive like a bra but they are really comfy and hold my breastpads (no way could I get through a night without them!). They're very stretchy so easy to pull down for feeding.

I had bravado night feeding bras which went up to a GG or H (I can't remember which)

sorry for the thread hijack but

coastgirl can you feed in those? I feed during the night and would like something i can feed in but is less bra like

thisisyesterday · 11/10/2011 17:44

can i vote for wear nothing and just put a towel down?

Midori1999 · 11/10/2011 17:57

I have been wearing a stretchy vest/pjama top and just sticking breast pads in place in that. Seems to work.

I slept on a towel as well. A waterproof mattress protector is also a good investment - especially if you co-sleep, EXTRA especially if you ever co-sleep with a sick child!

Yes, I feed in them - they're stretchy enough to go right underneath my boobs with no effort.

A towel would be no good for me - the duvet would end up saturated as well as I spray all over the place. As it is I wake up with a soaked bra, top and breast pads every morning so I am jealous of those who could even contemplate wearing nothing.

i wore a bravado soft bra thing at night for about a year as I leaked loads. I was a 30GG (possibly bigger if I needed to feed her and was getting leaky) mile more comfortable to seleep in than a normal bra or going without. I laso had some fab BFing PJs from mamas and papas

Tanyaaah · 11/10/2011 19:04

Mothercare do a 2 pack of sleep bras too, comfy but you need breast pads with sticky backs or they're useless.

ZenNudist · 11/10/2011 20:59

these are good and easy to feed with, not sure how good for bigger boobs

AngelDog · 11/10/2011 21:03

I wore these sleep bras from JojoMamanBebe because not wearing a bra meant I got horrible nipple chafing from my PJ top. I was a 36F at the time.

I used washable pads, so no sticky backing.

StetsonsAreCool · 11/10/2011 21:14

I'm with thisisyesterday and bertie - I wore nothing and put a towel down.

TBH it was a relief to get some air to my boobs after being encased in damp breast pads all day.

sleepevader · 11/10/2011 21:15

Thank you for this thread. Been thinking the same!

PinkFondantFancy · 11/10/2011 22:12

Thanks all. In my sleep derived brain addled state I hadn't actually considered the towel solution!! Blush think that's what I'll go for, my sore boobs could do with a bit of airing...
