Breastfeeding 'goodie bag' suggestions

Hi,
A friend of mine is due her baby in a few weeks and we are having a baby shower for her soon. I know she is really keen to breastfeed so I'm hoping to put together a wee basket of handy things and am looming for suggestions of things to put in it. So far I'm thinking lanisoh, a ribbon to tie to bra to remind her what side she's on and a cute notebook for the same, some chocolate/snacks and a magazine or book token (obviously just as tokens, not to actually stock her up), some breast pads (any recommendations which are best? I think I liked tommee tippee ones but can't really remember). Any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

Peppermint tea, not formula!

Tommee Tippee Breast Cooling pads
A breastfeeding vest
Some Body Comfort pocket packs www.mybodycomfort.com/products.html (i used in lieu of hot flannels to clear blocked ducts on a few occasions and they are brilliant), you can get them at Selfridges

Also i really wish someone had compiled a list of resources for me as a "survival guide" - all the things NCT classes, midwives and health visitors don't cover. Link to kellymom etc, some phone numbers for help lines, list of local breastfeeding groups and cafes, videos on the web that "show and tell" how it's done and what problems look like...

In spite of going on the NCT class I felt totally unprepared. If a friend had done that for me they would quickly win the Friend of the Year award in my books!

Lily padtz to wear at night to avoid mastitis and a box of flucloxacillin (joke)

Or a voucher for figleaves..... They stock hotmilk bras which are the best

What a lovely friend you are!
definatly chocolate and dvd boxsets. You can get vouchers at blockbusters so she can send someone out to get what she wants.

Muslin squares to mop up sick etc?
Maybe some nice foot cream, then someone who loves her could rub her feet while she sits and feeds.

Our local breastfeeding support team gave wristbands out at the hospital with their phone number on. You could also wear it to remind you which side to feed on. Look out for something like that, if she wants to bf obviously.

what a lovely idea and in preperation myself I had nursing bras both day and night ones, breast pads have found tommee tippee best but sainsburys are good enough and much cheaper!, couple cartons of milk as back up.

I would suggest snacks such as chocolcate or cereal bars (cadburys brunch bars are yummy and 6 for £1 in asda at mo), magazines and also if you have an dvds you could lend as sometimes daytime tv can just get on your nerves.
