Does your bf baby have a comfort blanket/lovey/beloved toy?

I've been trying to get ds (8.5 months) to take a comfort thingy (a little rabbitty blanket thing) in the hope that he might eventually fall asleep without feeding. He is totally uninterested and I seem to recall reading somewhere that bf babies were less likely to take to comforters.

So, I thought I would do a completely unscientific MN survey. Does your bf baby have a beloved object?

No comforter and never took to a dummy (DS is 11 months and we're now down to 1 feed a day: I'm aiming to have stopped by his birthday). He has a cuddly bear that he likes in his cot at night, but it's not a comforter - he can sleep happily without it and it never comes out of the cot.

DD1 had a dummy for a few weeks but soon worked out there was no milk coming out of it so what was the point. Never sucked her thumb/fingers but is frequently found sucking toys or other things - bit of a bad habit really. She has never had a lovey but has a regular stable of cuddlies to take to bed though she isn't attached to any of them too much. She bf until 3.6y.

DD2 had a dummy for slightly longer than DD1 but certainly didn't have it for more than a few months. She has 'My Doll' and 'Baby' that are her favourite dolls and there are a few other toys that she favors but none exclusively. Baby is currently sleeping in a toy moses basket next to her on the floor. She is bfing and is 3.9y - she doesn't suck anything - fingers/thumbs/toys.

DD3 never took a dummy but right from the first time she was tube fed (about 10 weeks?) she has sucked her fingers. At first she just sucked her fingers in a bfing rhythm when the milk was fed to her but now she sucks them through out the day (preferably when 'honking' my boob or failing that DH's or Nana's or anyone else's front for that matter). Her favourite toy is usually one DD2 is playing with! She is bfing and is 21m.
