I've been told that the avent ones aren't that great.... anyone know which are best, and where to buy em?

I used the Avent ones, but they're quite a small diameter and quite thick, so they're pretty noticeable under thinner clothing. I found them comfy though - absorbent and didn't stick to me painfully like the evil Mothercare disposable ones!

Am interested to know what the other brand washable ones are like!

I'll give this a bump for both of us then!!!

lanisoh ones are very soft and not as rigid as the avent ones.

spidermama · 24/11/2005 18:56

I used Imse Vimse ones which I loved. Very soft organic flannelette cotton.

Avent ones are comfier than Mothercare ones. Bought both but just seem to use Avent ones!

You can also buy lanisoh ones in Waitrose - they are much the best ones imo

finefatmama · 26/11/2005 22:23

lanisoh and medela

both better than avent, mothercare, tesco and always.
Ok so always is a sanitary towel but it was an emergency and i had run out of breast ads. so i settled for just pads. The tesco and mothercare used to get caked up and dry. avent tore on me but the other two were soft and absorbent.

finefatmama · 26/11/2005 22:30

breast pads not breast ads

pootlepod · 26/11/2005 22:40

I found lansinoh to be better than avent (both washable and disposable) or how about lilypadz ?

popsycalindisguise · 26/11/2005 22:46

ellas house without a doubt

flamesparrow · 26/11/2005 22:51

Lilypadz seem slightly odd to me... surely stopping the flow can't be good for you?

I've got Avent washable ones and am very pleased with them. A quote from hunker below: "I used the Avent ones, but they're quite a small diameter and quite thick, so they're pretty noticeable under thinner clothing." - well, if you are norkularly challenged like me and therefore don't put so much strain on your clothes () then they don't show through much at all!!! (hehehe she's at the meetup so can't remonstrate with me just now [evil grin])

Never had a leak with them either but I don't leak much. I got mine from here - babycare direct
