What are the best nappies to prevent breastfed baby poo-up-the-back leakage?

I am finding ASDA-own-brand to be absolute rubbish.

I think Pampers get the best seal to prevent explosive up-the-backers from spillage.

Any other opinions?

Those pampers newborn ones are pretty good for it, think they are more absorbent maybe?

HRHQoQ · 22/11/2005 19:54

Tesco own

paolosgirl · 22/11/2005 19:54

I found Pampers to be the best, but tbh nothing much can cope with the real explosions! Ahhhh...takes me back

babaworshipper · 22/11/2005 19:55

cloth. Nothing else held it in. Bumble with nature babies wraps. Meant I could leave the house without two changes of clothes.

roosmum · 22/11/2005 19:56

lots of shaped terries cope well, if you want a different take on things...

Another vote for Pampers, but I found that there was better containmnt if we moved up to the size above a bit before ds hit the weight on the packet.

Lilliput · 22/11/2005 20:05

Tesco nappies are by far the best - much cheaper than pampers

pookey · 22/11/2005 21:04

I like huggies better than pampers, i found pampers leaked out the side rather than the back. I have his nappy a little higher at the back and lower at the front and make sure that it doesn't fold down when I put on his vest as most accidents happen when I am sloppy at putting on the nappy tbh.

SpikeMomma · 22/11/2005 21:11

motherease shaped terry nappies with a wrap. never leaked. and my littleun used to do the most immense nappy fillers i've ever seen. disposables never made the grade. and they stunk really chemically too.

gossifer · 22/11/2005 21:11

i use nature (sainsburys or waitrose) and have never had a leakage up the back (ds 9 months)

they're made from 70% biodegradable too!!!

I'm finding Lidl's to be pretty bomb-proof atm.

helsy · 22/11/2005 21:17

Pampers - tried Tesco own, Sainsbury's nature girl, huggies, Pampers still best imo.

notasheep · 22/11/2005 21:40

Hooray for Huggies and I have had loads free with Boots Advantage points

mads1 · 22/11/2005 21:47

Pampers over anything else for us!!

notasheep · 22/11/2005 21:55

Different bottoms prefer different protection!

melrose · 22/11/2005 22:00

I have used cloth since my DS was 6 weeks and find they never leak, even when subjected to 3 day bout of diaarheoa use disposables whenever I go away and find none of the brands as good as cloth, use motherease sandies

starlover · 22/11/2005 22:02

ditto the cloth!

CharBell · 23/11/2005 09:54

I use Nature and only get leakages when he is ready to move up a size.

Kanda · 01/12/2005 09:42

I find shaped terries, specifically Tots Bots are totally briiliant and haven't leaked once. Only have one Motherease and that's been great too. IMHO I find Pampers suck, so if using disposables Tesco seem by far trhe best I've found so far. Hope this helps.
