Old fashioned steri tablets in cold water(
in tupperware box)?

RTKangamummy started a thread to say she was advised by the hosp where he had her ds (prem and in special care for a while) that sterilising was not necessary - just wash thoroughly in v hot, soapy water and leave to air dry on kitchen towel.

Depends if you'd feel happy with this.

Ask the cruise ship what they suggest - they must have come accross it before.

you can buy single use bottles a bit pricey at £2 for 4 but very easy.

You'll be perfectly safe to stop sterilising at this age. If you were in New Zealand, you would have stopped at 3 months (the official guidelines out there)

As Sassy says, depends how comfortable you feel with this.(When I first stopped, I kept washing the bottles 3 times!!!)

Why are you taking ready made? what if it leaks and then you cant buy any more. I took my son who was bottle fed to tenerife and found it so easy to take 2 tubs of unopened tins as i was told the customs people can be funny about ready made but not so much about unopened. Crazy but i found this loads better than ready made.

I used old fashioned sterlising tablets and a box of large size zip lock bags. Put what you need to sterilise in hte bag, add cold water and a sterilising tablet (or half if not too much water in) then zip it up and leave lying in the bath or sink.

Get travel sterilising bags from Boots, Mothercare or Tommee Tippee. You add tap water to the drawcord bag containing a premeasured tablet, hang over a tap or in shower/bath and submerge what you need to sterilise. Solution is good for 24hrs after which you enlty and throw bag, then start with a fresh one.
