Can I use breast pads without them soaking up the Lansinoh I've just applied?

As the title says... I need my Lansinoh (new baby and new to BF) but without using breastpads I could/should be changing my clothes about 20 times a day. Is there any way of using nipple cream and breastpads together? I have samples of Johnsons and Avent disposables which end up stuck to my nipples (ouch). I'd be quite happy to swap to reusables if I got a recommendation.

I've been putting a dot of the cream on the pad then sticking it on, I also have reusable ones which are so much nicer think there 'medela' or something there great as I find the layers in the reusable ones slide and rub. Will be buying more prob mothercares own I'll let you know if there any good.

Thanks scaryfairy28 I'll try putting some cream on the pad itself. I might try the medela pads too, I like the idea of reusables anyway.

reusables don't stick as much, but they tend to move a lot and they do not absorb as much... you won't need Lansinoh forever, it's just at the begining, I used nipple shields in between feeds to avoid the pad sticking, it does get in the shield so you'll have to throw them on after a while, but they lasted while I needed them
