Aptimel- can you buy it in France?

Probably a silly question- I'm off to France for a month or so. My 9 month old is now ff on aptimel- do you know if this is readily available in France? Also, I buy the individual cartons (breastfed for first 6/7 months and for some reason struggled to get to grips with ff making up bottles etc). Do you knwo if they sell teh cartons?!!

IIRC they don't sell the cartons. Aptimel is called by another brand name in Europe. Formula is v expensive in France, between 13 and 20 Euro a tin.

do you mean aptamil? If you need cartons rather than powder then you may be better off taking them with you

I knew it wasn't spelled right but was too pissed to think of the correct one!

I flew to Tenerife last week for a week holiday. DS is 10 months and drinking Aptamil. I took a box of powder and about 10 cartons and it was a nightmare to get threw security. Supposed to taste 50% of everything but managed to sweet talk them into only opening 1 carton of milk. Would have been a waste otherwise. There is a Boots on the other side (after security) and the lady informed me in there that you can order anything before you fly and it will be there ready to collect. This means you can take as much as you want and don't have to taste 50% of it! Might be worth looking into. Plus, you should get to grips with making up formula, it'll be easier, and cheaper in the long run!! I made up my bottles in the morning with boiling water and DS just drank them straight from the fridge!
