Break the 'nurse to sleep' habit in conjunction with move to toddler bed?

DD is turning 2 in a few weeks and has recently finally started sleeping through the night. She is still breastfeeding on demand during the day (and she is pretty demanding most days!).

I have now reached the stage where I would like to stop nursing her to sleep, and wondered if it would be easier to make this major change in conjunction with moving her into a toddler bed.... or whether that would be too much change at the same time... What do you think?

Whilst I am not really in a rush to move her out of her cot, I am pretty keen to get her falling asleep on her own soon.

Your opinions/stories would be appreciated!

I think it depends how good her understanding is. If you think you would be able to explain that she will have new routine because she is a "big girl" now and that means a shiney new big girl bed, big girl bedtime story and going to sleep like a big girl does (with a beaker of milk maybe?), then I would go for it! If you think she might struggle with the understanding then I would just do one at a time! Just my opinion! Hope it helps!
