how long does it take to feel a bit too full if you are only feeding a toddler a couple of times a day and miss feeds?

cos mine had a visit to a&e today and doesn't want to feed. :(

he normally feeds twice a day, maybe a bit more on days I'm not working. he hasn't fed since 7 this morning and I'm not sure if he'll be able to before i go out tomorrow.

i am more worried about his poor glued together mouth getting better, but am wondering if i should express a bit if i can for DH to give him in a cup. might be uncomfortable by end of work tomorrow if not?

ime after missing three feeds. sympathy to your ds :(

Thanks.

Will probably have to try and express again when I get home - I am a bit out of practice - used the manual this morning and also hand expressed, might rake the electric back out.

it's so much harder to comfort him without boob and especially his thumb which he won't suck just now either! :(

His mouth is a bit less swollen so hoping he might have a wee feed if he's sleepy (not yet...Shock)

He is in pretty good form - think we got more of a fright!

feeling a wee bit tender myself so will express if he's not interested.

By the time I was feeding my toddlers, I could be really quite hit and miss as to whether I fed them or not and could easily miss a day or even probably two without getting full or drying up, I think I read somewhere that by now your body produces milk as you are feeding and does not "pre-make" it and store it as when they are babies. Might not be right at all but it felt like that to me.

hilly I guess I didn't end up feeling 'full' exactly, just a bit funny and very aware of them! He's 20 months old, so not sure if It will be even less noticeable as he gets older.

He had a feed accompanied by blowing many raspberries on me and giggling, was up and down for a bit, then a better sleepy feed at 1am and then went to sleep for 6 hours. :) I like to imagine I made special sleepy milk.

Also fed happily this morning so seems to be back to normal.

Thanks all
